Looks awesome! It looks fast and then I remembered it is a 50 incher! I am getting ready to make a big twin hydro out of a bunch of birch I just bought. Did you get a gps reading?

I hope you are as proud as I am jealous:rockon2: Very nice project! Hull did not seem to like that prop but performed impressively for a 23lb boat. Moving that kind of mass I don't know that I'd call the 2028 a hog. If that was a stock 270 then there's a lot left in your setup and the esc is talking to you about that prop. But it's all guesstimation on my part. For now...You Da Man:bowdown:

Thanks! What are you meaning about the hull not liking the prop? It got a little "hoppy" when hitting its own waves on the 3rd pass on................3 blade needed?

Those Castle motor's seem to be great for big, heavy RC vehicles. I know guys are using them in their 5th scale Baja's and can barely keep the wheels from spinning and the front tires on the ground. The only thing that has stopped me from building larger boats in the past has been the large price tag of the big motor's. With the new prices that Castle has been coming up with for their ICE ESC's and motor's coupled with the prices of Lipo's coming way down I may finally drop all my small boats and get back into the big boys.

Great job on the build, the SCALE looking hydro's are always great to watch.

Take what I say with a pound of salt Make. Boat is beautiful but the hopping could be too much lift in the prop. Reduce that and the temp could go down and the hopping go away. If I throw enough bad info out there someone more knowledgeable will chine in with the real deal. Bottom line is your build is a success, it's fast, good looking, and did'nt take all winter.
