Hey everyone. I made a new style of hatch for one Diegoboy and wondered if anyone else would be interested. I have the mold and have no real use for unless anyone else would want. I am posting a few pics however pics dont do it justice. It has nice sleek lines and this one came out verystrong with layered glass cloth. I can also change the mold a bit as to not copy his. Just thougt I would offer.

They can still be made. lemme know if you would like one. The mold has been smoothed and fine tuned since this as well. Hex, the price is the same. That includes priority shipping to U.S.

Very nice...give it the MTI hull style. I was considering Vac molding some but the glass is nice.

The final product pics can basicly be found in the twin blackjack build SJFE did. You then MUST tape the hatch as it will not have tabs to slide in hull and magnets. As far as payment send me a pm and we will work that out. If still interested lemme know. thanks

Im thinking i may still be interested, but all the photos from SJFE's thread have been removed, any ideas on how i can catch a glimpse of the finished hatch??

I like the design on the Pro Boat TC3 hull. Can you do that too?

Honestly no/. Its just as safe to tape the hatch. With the lip on the hatch it fits pretty snug and doesnt move much even without tape. It was just too much to do the tabs. I did try and just didnt seem worth the trouble. Im no pro hull maker for sure I was just curious if I could do it. I dont have fancy vacuum table or anything but they come out pretty rigid and smooth.

MM, is the hatch all ready for paint or do I have to sand and fill the hatch... The photo's of the hatch are not prepped can see the glass fibers...
I really like the lid..

When I do them I release them from the mold, clean it, then put it back on mold and do some sanding. You can see the fibres but it is inside clear resin. Once it gets sanded its ready for prime and paint. I usually dont even mess with the inside cept for cleaning the release wax.

How did you make these molds?

B/c the surface finish on the molds doesn't look like it will allow you to paint in the mold and get a nice shiny surface.

You might want to try polishing your mold.

Shoot for a finish like this:
