I use nothing but 40c batts...You could use 20c packs but with the high amp-current draws that FE boats use, the 20c packs wouldnt last long..Im gonna say mabey 20-60 cycles..Balance charge them every time..Also if you use the 80% rule, they may last even longer..

Ohh, the 40c batts are only like 8 more dollars from HK..

Those are great packs!!! Its all I use..And you get them in about 3-4 days in the States!!

As usual, the best answer is....the highest C rating you can afford.

I use 2, 4s 20c packs. 200amps on tap and 7-10 minutes of run time depending on the motor I decide to run that day. Wouldn't run anything else.

:iagree: Always the best policy. Note that not all manufacturers are the same. Some understate and many more overstate. The point is, buy quality packs and take care of them. Anytime you go cheap on batteries, you will get what you paid for.

hi all what 2s packs do you suggest that are 40c that have a pack weight limit of 300g i was hoping to get some from hobby king but when you enter 40 c most are over the weight limit unless you get around 3000 mah or less the best i have found so far are nano techs 5000 mah 25-50c which are only 187g each and my packs will be weighed before a race lol

I see that you're in AU. Why not go with something like this? Straight from the AU warehouse. 200 amps of proven power at only $27 a piece.http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=14691 I have never heard of the LiPos in that link, and honestly, I would be hesitant to pay that much for "off brand" batteries.

there great but jut one problem 2 of them would be 16 grams over my weight limit lol max i can go in my class is 600g thats the major limiting factor in lipo selection i mean there fine for bashing and just to get me goin up but when i race id need different packs

cheers sounds good they look awesome might go the first option at 17 bucks cant go wrong hopefully they can hold up in comps thanks again.

In regards to the lipos im going to have to ask jan at kintec to do me deans to 4mm bullets so i dont void the warranty unless there are reasonable lipos with deans not sure i can wait till the warranty expires in order to use it lol as i would have to change the esc connections at minimum i may just have to use different packs or adaptors in the mean time.
