is ther a link out there that walks you through the theory and process of sharpening props i want to give it a try

You can sharpen them with sandpaper.I was polishing an X450 and cut my finger twice.Have the wide open gashes to prove it.

You will some good tools of the trade first. A prop balancer and some needle files. You will have to clean off some of the castings first.

I "sharpened" my prop for the genesis, its only a 38mm prop, and it seems okay, however maybe for under 100kmph setups it might not be as important to get the prop balanced properly, I used water and wet n dry sandpaper and some disposable gloves.

i would say its the most important, its what driving you boat

i have files and was thinking , if its easy time is nothing ill give it a shot so where can i buy a resonably priced balancer?

Here on OSE, or Kintec racing is another on line option. Your LHS or pretty much any on line site that carries RC boat products will likely have a few to choose from.

Personally I prefer the magnetic balancers, no need to level them, and I find them a to more sensitive.

Top flight magnetic balancer 20.00 LHS seem to carry them.
I have one and it works great,
go into the tips section of ose and that will get you started.
