I think I got a good deal. If not o well I like the hull . Got a AEROMARINE SPRINT CAT . She’s in ruff shape but it has all the hardware and radio tray . with time and money going to have her like new .I have no idea what to juice her with . The hull is Length 36" 915mm x Wide 14" 356mm all fiber glass. So what do you guys recommend . Paid $120 for it and a free cat stand lol.

it is going to take a bit of work to patch/plug those holes in the hatch and make it look good.

Put her on a scale bud. We need and idea of weight to help with power systems. If I had to guess a KB10XL on 6s with a hydra 240. You may however need one of the larger Neu motors to get the torque you will need. This one going to cost you quite a bit.

it weights 6LB as is. good point , by the weight i mite have to go HV ESC and 24 cell .does the 45 Kb Brushless Motor have info torque .a buddy of mine works with fiberglass i have to take off all the stickers an give him the hull to fix it . the best way to take of sticker is with a hair dry or do you guys have a diffrent way.

Go to aeromarine and see how much a new uncut hatch is befor you go nuts glassing. I think you will be fighting a loosing battle attempting to use Nimh batteries. It will amount to just to much weight. I can really identifie with your excitement with regards to building a big cat. The fact is the components needed to power this cat reliabley are going to be very expensive. My honest opinion is to avoid this hull as your first build. I would shelv it for later on when you have gained the knoledge needed to do it right. What you need to build is one of the 26 to 30 inch monos or cats. A build like that will be half the cost and will be much more fun with far better results. The chance of failures that will cost money and stress will be much less. Sorry if that's what you where not looking to hear but I am looking to save you money and grief.

If you are determined to use this hull, this is a setup I would use.

KB45 11XL 1000KV
High Voltage controller, highest amp rating you can afford.
Lipo 8S2P 30C or 24 NiMH cells, but will add weight.
M545 prop
NiMH 70 - 80 amps 24300 rpm
Lipo 80 - 90 amps 26800 rpm
40's

Ok having seen it on my PC and not my phone I can make a few suggestions. The first thing I'd do is cut the fat. I am unfamiliar with that hull but I'm betting you can out most of the stringers and remove the radio box with out compromising and strength. The cracked hull section needs a fair about of glasswork. I am not the person to talk to about that. OSE does stock what you need though. I you can cut & sand 2 or 3 pounds out of her you will have a fighting chance. Mr Watts setup up suggestion is "Spot On". You are looking @ about 400$ in parts and 250 to 300 in lipos. Half that for Nimh batteries. Try and save that pain...It's a nice looking cat ]Ok having seen it on my PC and not my phone I can make a few recomendations. The first thing I'd do is cut the fat. to remove the sticker a hair dryer will help. Have goo gone on hand you will need it. start at one end and move slowly across the hull try to get it off in as big a piece as possible to make it easier on yourself. also if it is glass and gel coat you can use acetone on it to clean it up to give to you glass guy.

Offshore will be selling the Castle Creations Marine Hydra HV 120 and HV240 controllers after the first of the year. Dont know of any HV controllers that are waterproof.

I am using the OEMRC HV 100 amp controller on mine with NiMH cells. I am uncertain about recommending it for your setup, because of the heavy hull weight and power surges. It is about $100.00.

The Hydra controllers are the safe and best option.

Alex push down lightly on that tunnel. If it feels solid go ahead and cut those out of you wish. It will save you some weight. I have a motor mount I can give ya.

Looking good!! Pull that flotation out and get some pool noodle it will be a little lighter and look better. Thats kewl you have a glass guy. be sure he uses a thin glass to keep weight down.
