I've ran 5s stock. You can check my mg video through my youtube link below. I changed the motor/esc connections to 5.5 bullets, I changed the deans out to 5.5 bullets. Dis-abled the bec (pull red wire from esc rx plug) and run a rx pack I used a x642, but I think a 42x55 would be a better prop. Last I set the esc motor timing to high. Work like champ and got 46mph stock power and stock strut adjustment.

I agree with Diesel. I ran with a guy, who ran his with the 42x55 on 5S like diesel described and boy was it fast!

Sounds easy enough.. I think Ill run a 5 cell nimh rx pack like you would put in a 1/8 scale buggy rc car..That would work just fine wouldnt it? There 6.0v..Also are you using a switch on the rx pack? You still have to use the switch on the esc right?

I got my rx pack hooked up now..My question is when you disable the bec does the esc still go through the arming beeps..Cuz when i disabled the bec the beeps went away..I just turn it on and and its ready without any beeps..Is this normal?

Ohh i wanted to ask..With the rx pack, do you see any more runtime with this setup?

I still get beeps on my fastech (same esc) with 5s with the BEC cut, you only get the arming beeps when you first plug the batteries in, try unplugging the batteries, waiting a few seconds and then turning it back on

I never paid attention to any beeps (only when I program it to verify it accepted the new settings). If I plug it in and it works then I run it.

Beeps also will only happen, or their volume will vary, depending on where the motor is rotated. If it's between poles, the beeps will be lower in volume, or somethings not audible. If you rotate the motor slightly, they'll change in volume.

Darin is right about position of poles, On my Etti motors depending where the motor is positioned you get a vey loud beep or a very mutted beep. Just rotate the motor position to get a louder beep. Thanks Martin.

Interesting, I wondered why volume changed

When i first experience the very mutted tone it was just after getting one of my esc wet & after drying it out i thought it was done for with hardly any noise from the tones, Glad to say all worked fine & had the louder tone after moving motor round to a different position. Thanks Martin.
