Im thinking about getting a UL-1 motor..Is anyone using this motor with the stock MG esc? I plan on running 4s.. Or should I just get a different esc? any suggestions would be appreciated..

T-120, T-180 to be on the safe side....
if you will run all stock including prop, swiching to UL-1 motor may not change a lot....
Just stick with your stock motor and test some new props to get better speed.
Start with X642 and you will love it....
I would change your stock ESC to 120Amp or so, if you go up with props. Stock motor will be fine, use it.....

Ohh yeah..I already have the x642 sharpened and balanced prop..I never even tried the stock prop lol..I hung it on there right out of the box.. It seems to work great! Im just looking for more speed sticking with my 2s packs in series..:thumbup1:

someone tryed the ul-1 motor on here but dont remember what they said about it......look down the threads in mg catagory and see....i have the pb 60a and the 1800kv motor from the stiletto and seems to work well with all different props...low 40's is enough for me right now....

I dont know..Now Im just thinking about getting a turnigy 180 esc and running the stock motor on 5 or 6 cell..If I do go this route, will any extra programming be necessary when switching from 4cell to 5 cell to 6 cell..Or do you just hang whatever packs (4-6 cell) and bang them?
Cuz in reality all Im looking for is extra speed! Im looking for high 40's low 50's with about 4 min at least of runtime..

Ohh would I need to disable the bec on 6 cell with the turnigy 180..
