Propellers for 57" hull with twin t600

Hi, so what would you suggest I should get?

The hull is 57" apache, two Turnigy T600 Brushless Outrunners (880kv)

two 200A esc´s

Will be using 6S on each motor. (17-19k rpm)


I need a pair so one left and one right.

Thanks, but I forgot to add that it will be 1/4 prop shaft/flex setup. x457 is 3/16 (or that is all what I found)

I think that 3/16 is too smal dia for this power?

would rrreally like cool looking/performing 3-5 blade

3/16 is not too weak. There is plenty of boats going 100+ mph using that bore.....To get counter rotating in an octura in 1/4" bore the smallest 2 blade is a x470. ABC props have some cool 3 blade but the smallest size in counter-rotating is 2.6 dia. Still seems big but you are turning low rpm's......

Thanks, the struts I have been looking at are 1/4. I guess that a smaller tube could be inserted and make them 3/16 thought.
(I have snapped one 3/16 octura using 7xl )

allthought I dont know what the torque difference is between gas and electric, the 26cc engines use 65-70+mm props so the55+ mm props that propshop has should work? -this will have about the same rpm´s also.

Octuras are great I know, but not really "scale" looking

Too bad they dont state what bore their(propshop uk) props are -or attleast I couldn´t find any info.

I will order new struts soon and need to know is 55mm too much prop for this twin t600 apache?

-Propshop starts at 55mm on 1/4 bore props and really would like to get the 1/4 prop shaft, but 3/16 is also available using same 1/4 cable...

This big hull would also look weird if it has ridiculously small prop. :doh:

update, got the 1/4" (they sell 3/16 shafts for it so no problem if I get smaller props later)

Hughey sells a stepped down 1/4 " to 3/16" hardened shaft so you can use your 1/4" struts I usually stock them but I only have the reverse shaft at this time but that is what you need !!

Thamks for the info, but MTC also makes spares for this and the 3/16 can be bought seperatly also, one reason I spent 400€ on toy parts :crying:

just hope that everything fits and works...:doh:

edit. the prop shaft is 3/16" after all! -just hope that I can get big enough prop on that.(or use brass bushing and I guess then 1/4 will fit)

Ok, did the first drive using 2 bladed 57mm L&R graupners.
Diameter 57L mm(2.24"), Pitch 1.4x57=79.8mm or 3.14"

Now I am trying to get a bit faster props but 3 bladed if possible.

Stainless preferred.

Trying to get the boat to go a bit over 60kph so not much bigger props needed.

I'd start by adding some trim tabs.

I doubt it needs tabs, the cog was way too back.(batteries ) so it bounced a bit.

I will make battery compartments and laminate them in the hull so the batteries wont move back and mess the cog.:doh:
