New class for our lil club.

OK folks here's the story. We have a smallish body of water we want to use to attract new members. What we want to do is run 17-20" hulls with cheapo power systems. My personal opinion would be a mono with some sort of self righting hatch.

What we are looking for is a suplier. Hull, hardware would be awsome. Who has some suggestions? Looking for around 6.

MiniCatRacingUSA has some pretty cool/small boats. The Velocity Mono comes with the hardware already installed, and some claim for it to be self righting - although they do not advertise it to be. Sailr is a member here in the forum and he can help you out with your order.

I completely agree those are great hulls and have no doubt they would be perfect...except for the price point. What we are looking for are just some cheap junkers so when folks ask we don't scare them off. We'll do that after they are hooked

Oh alright I get you. What about the Reef Racer 2? It's a great little boat, and it's $70 (not sure exactly what price you're looking for). But they are self-righting and are pretty reliable. They come RTR with transmitter and battery.

Once they're hooked you'll be making $$$, haha

            That looks doable!!
If we can do a hull and hardware in the 80 buck range we can run some of the cheap crap on 2s 5000mah range (we already have that crap) and run for a long time.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to fit a 2s 5000mah lipo in there. I converted my little brother's Reef Racer 2 to brushless and put in a 2s 2200mah lipo and it really scoots now! I think it's a great boat for the price point you're looking for.
