Why would anyone pay over the adds for one of these when you can get the red evo for half the price!

I know and I must admit I like the miss exite paint job I just wouldn't pay the extra for it. Plus it comes with the outrunner clamp which limits your motor choice as I have found with my P1.

I do like the Red Evo

A friend has the Red Evo, Saw it run last sunday. Its still early days in him running it but it wasnt that fast i would guess around 35mph. Its stock with a 2636kv FSD motor & 50amp esc so it will only take 3s. He had collided with another boat on a previous outing & had some very serious cracks indeed along the top of the sponson around 8-9" long right in the middle of the sponson about 1.5" in from the edge of the boat. The gel coat was very thick but the glass cloth was very thin & flexy. Thanks Martin.

I'm thinking about getting one and running it with the suppo/turnigy H3126 outrunner 2200kv 90a seaking and 4s, prob a x640 or x642. I'm using the H3126 1600kv in my P1 on 5s and it goes like stink.

That sounds like a great combo on 4s!

Oh, thanks! They're out of stock but I had to add it to my wish list. I like the HK paint theme better than the Venon theme.

I have had it on my wishlist for around 3 months now, i don't think it's coming into stock any time soon. I've seem it at galaxy models in the UK for £170

JackBlack26

It's probably not coming in to stock because Venom is getting first dibs, lol!

Gotta ask, but is this the same as the delta force 22" hydro that OSE sells the hull for $85? Looks the same. Just wondering.

The newer version of Miss excite is incredible. On 4s it hangs right in there with a UL-1.
If you're going to gut the boat as far as power system you're still better off with the excite. The package Venom puts together now is great and definitely an improvement over their previous kits..

I finished 1st place 3 out of 4 heats at the Grand prix classic against a field of nitro and electric sport 21 boats..

You mean the rudder? if its the one on the transom you want to straighten that out.

That is correct, it shouldn't be on the left side.
A batch was made incorrectly. Send it back to Venom they will gladly replace it, or upgrade to a better turn fin as I did and mount it on the other side

I have modified the original one to fit the other side but i was thinking about using one from a ul1 for the adjustability or will it be too big, the stock one starts to lift on straights at full speed, the hull actualy sits about an inch above the water its fast but unstable. Ran a v940/3 with a 2200kv motor on 4s but still want it to go faster maybe doing 45-50 mph

I used one that was even bigger, but the UL-1 fin should work great..

Exactly. The Ul-1 should work and give you a lil more adjustability to work with and trust me Bill knows how to make one of these boats run sweet.

What rpm is good to run with hydros do they rather smaller props and high rpm, are two 5000mah 2s batterys to much weight in the front i was thinking about trying 3200mah

Namba328
08-26-2011, 11:08 AM
Honesty when it comes to hydros it depends on the hull and the equipment used. the 2 5000 2s packs will be fine being Bill runs a hard shell 4s Venom pack so im sure your packs arent as heavy as his lol. So my question for you is what motor, esc and prop are you using and 2. what c rating does your packs have?

KOS
08-29-2011, 02:58 AM
well i am using 2 venom hard case 35c packs, with a hobyking 3650 2200kv and a mystery 80a esc and i have tried x637,x437/3, x442 back cut and detounged v940/3
also changed the rudder to one with pickup holes on both sides

Namba328
09-01-2011, 06:23 AM
and whats the fastest speed that you have hit?

KOS
09-01-2011, 06:43 AM
have not put gps in it yet just trying to get the right set up i think when i was running the v940 it was very flat and turned well but the prop might have been a bit big and not letting it rev free enough so i want to try the v937 or something with less pitch maybe, as for speed i would say 40-45mph as my ekos does 55 and the gas version does 67 so im judging from that

Namba328
09-01-2011, 07:29 AM
have you tried the 36mm 1.4 pitch 3 blade alluminum prop from venom???

KOS
09-01-2011, 07:39 AM
i have tried a x437/3 it runs ok not fast enough

try a 440/3 or a 442/3 and do you have any angle in your strut?

KOS
09-02-2011, 02:31 AM
in the gas one has a sikk 27 4 bolt version with porting done its got so much power now, it turns a x470/3 with ease

i have tried a x442 speed was ok but the lifting prop sat much nicer on the water

I think around 50mph should be ok thinking about using 5s and a x637, motor says it will handle 6s but i dont want to go that far

That otta do it lol. If not try a x642. I have had great luck with x642's when it comes to electric sport hydros lol.

i have tried a x437/3 it runs ok not fast enough

try running either a:
y536 it will lend itself to high rpms
for 3 blade the y537-3 it pretty good but needs a powerfull motor on 4S
x440 will give you big hole shoot but need a powerfull motor as well.
and the x640 is the top end prop i like the best but you better match up the motor and esc correctly or poof majic smoke from the ESC...

sporthydrofan I just bought a Miss Excite and will be using the stock motor/esc what is the best prop to get for it in a 3 blade metal prop.
I want some more speed out of it. I will be running 3s and 4s lipo's.

She doesn't want 5s on the stock system. I have a 5s system that propells it to about 80+

On 3s or 4s you will do well with the venom red 36mm cnc prop
Or, my uncle runs a V937 sharpened and ballanced and the thing blasts off..
