The wave shark has a pretty flat bottom, so lots lots of hulls with deeper vee designs will be better. The Aero titan 33 is nice because its long, but also wide. So its quite stable.

I was in the same delema when I was looking for my first true FE boat. I run on Long Island Sound and needed something that could deal with the chop/waves/wind. I ended up getting a BBY Ovalmaster 29. I set her up with a 11XL and run 4S2P 4000mah Lipos (total of 8000mah). I am right around 40MPH and get almost 10 minutes run time on a M645 prop and nothing is even close to being hot. It is a great set up and pleanty of fun in the not so smooth sound. I bought this hull because it was cheap but when I get another hull I more then likely get the Titan 33, love the looks and being a little bigger has to help with waves/chop.

Cheers,
Jim

Frost both hulls mentioned in this thread are solid and pretty easy to set up with guidence from us here. For a smaller hull I like the OSE Raider. I have wanted one for a while but havent gotten around to it "yet". Keep in mind the larger the boat the higer the cost to power it:wink:

you guys have been great help. iam thinking the titan 33 or 29 might be better due to the heavy chop .i want to go brushless this time, what set up do you all recommend . and if lipo batterys are the way to go.

I would suggest a Faigao 9XL with a minimum of 100amp ESC(a hydra 120 would be perfect) on 4s-2p lipo. They will give you about 26000 rpms unloaded or out of the water. Thats the higher end of a sport setup. As for lipo packs you can go 2 ways. You can run a set of 14.4 4s packs in parallel or a set of 7.4 2s packs in series. Series running will be a little less weight and a bit quicker. The down side is the packs are put under much more of a load and run times are reduced with lower more affordable MAHrated packs. Parallel running will give you much more run time and be easer on the packs with a little added weight. This may be better for you in ruff water. The 14.4 4s packs you will need are a bit more expensive but it avarages out. Keep in mind with longer run times your motor and esc and build heat. Even more so if you prop the boat agressively(meaning a large or high pitch prop). When shopping for lipo the (C) rating can be no less than 20 to 25 and mah should be a minimum 3300. 4000 to 6000 and above is really the way to go. Any more questions about hardware selection or radio equipment just ask :).

You and I both Taylor. I now have no less than 7 boats 5 of witch still have to be built or setup. 2 are still in the mail & I am suposed to buy another one next week. I am well overboard.

SJFE I was thinking more like two-3cell lipo =22.2V . My vision peak dynamite charger can do one 3cell lipo at a time. Can that Faigao 9XL take that much V. And the hydra 120 does seem perfect I had my eye on it . Man this is going to be a sick boat. :buttrock:

That is WAY to hot of a setup. You will be turning over 40000rpm unloaded. In a word POOF. You need to run less voltage or less a motor with less turns or lower kv not to mention the HV esc. If you want a hot but relaible setup calculate rpmn unloaded to 30000. A 12XL may be the right motor IDK I have not done the math. Scoot on over to the store and X the kvm ratingsby the voltage untill you hit around 30k and there you have it.
