Thanks! I am sure you have something wicked in the works. Much of the build credit goes to Steve Conradi, as I bought the boat from him and made a few modifications.

Nice one !
That turn fin is gigantic.
Does it need to be that size or are you just intimidating the opposition !

Actually, some hulls handle WORSE with a big one (turn fin, that is... ;) )... It depends on the hull...

Eyekandyboats
12-12-2007, 03:54 PM
yeah this hull doesn't handle very good in race water compared to a DF or a no step 3

WEW I was a little worried with that header:laugh::roflol: . I hate handing out infractions:olleyes:. Nice graphics and setup man. I need to look Mr RMZ soon for some Rio stuff.

Maybe not quite that big...that's a custom made turn fin (Thanks Greg, it fits perfectly!) which I'll test and likely cut down a bit...my SV has a pretty substantial fin though, so I want to start big and trim it down to suit the boat.

Yeah, that title was for you and Steven. Just having some fun. I figured it'd at least get you guys to look.:w00t:

just reading through this thread makes me wonder now why I even looked. You guys are silly but scary sometimes! Nice BOAT though. What I wonder is where is that floor at in your house. I wish my garage was clean enough to have a floor like that. If it did it wouldnt last long.

Funny stuff guys! I wish that was the floor of my garage! Unfortunately it's my kitchen...my garage was deemed too messy to take a photo. We don't really like the kitchen checkerboard tile, but too many other projects have priority so we live with it.
Thanks for the compliments...it sure is pretty (the boat), now will it go? Probably won't be able to test until March.:crying:

hi Ctonez

What motor, esc, lipo's and prop do u setup on that triton?is it necessary to sharpen the turn fin?

Mel

hi Ctonez

Mel
motor = Neu 1521 1.5D
esc = barracuda 125
Lipos = 2 x 4s 4500mah 30c
prop = 450/2 (prop in the pics is a P220, just for the pics though)

It is necessary to sharpen the turn fin as well as the rudder if you wish to maximize boat performance and minimize drag.:thumbup1:
I don't run a turn fin quite that big anymore, and I also run a small fin on the left side now. I am pushing the esc pretty hard, or I'd prop up to a 452...then again, I rarely need more speed than I already get.

cheers,
...and thanks Westbeach!

Oh I see, no wonder my triton run when turning seem to a a bit jumpy, I'll sharpen it as sharp as a razor blade...LOL:bounce:

Im also going to downgrade my setup to 4s, as 6s too much esc's fried and motor d-magnetize, really take the fun away:sad:

Thanks Corey for the info :smile:

just to clarify - I run 2 4S packs in parallel for a total of 14.8v and 9000mah.

cheers,
