seaking 120 esc BEC

i have a seaking 120amp esc and the bec has failed and i want to wire up a new one ,now i think this component pictured is the bec ?? IS IT ?? it is a small electrnic circuit board in the wire from the esc to the reciver ..



,and i want to just cut the wires and connect to a new external bec ,the new v2 esc dosent have this attachment in the leads as mine does

note this did have black heatshrink on too..

could possibly be the BEC.

just remove it, install a new servo connector, and run a seperate
battery supply to the receiver.

just my opinion.
