I'm thinking of buying a supervee 27 brushless, I hear it's a really great boat. I was wondering: what is the best charger and batteries for it on OSE? I've looked, but I hoped maybe someone had some advice?

Personally I would go with the IB-4200 6-cell with the Dean's plug and an MRC 977 Super Brain.

In fact, that IS what I did. A very handy set up. The 977 can charge 2 packs at a time and is a nice charger. It even comes with its own AC power supply to use in the shop.

I have a triton Gen 1 charger i used for 6-24 cells and it work GREAT! i love it.
I am thinking about getting rid of it ( selling it) because i have a couple Hyperion chargers coming to me so i will not need this one.

My top twochoices would be the DuraTrax Ice and Triton. The triton can charge more cells @ once but I find the Ice is more user friendly and has more options. The ice has a 10 cell limit.

Those are very good chargers, but if you are on a tight budget the GWS MC2002 that is available from OSE works fine and can charge both packs at once.
I have a fancy charger with all the bells and whistles at home, but at the lake I use the GWS.

Can the GWS charge batteries with deans connectors?

No , but very few chargers come with Dean connections.
Just make up your own charge lead from 2 or 3 feet of twin flex wire ( preferably coloured red and black ) and fit a Y harness on the end so that you can charge both packs in series.
If you ask Steven real nicely he will probably supply this for you !
