what speed control did you change to? What did you use to make the extension on the boat?

RCprince

I used a 100amp suppo esc and I used balsa wood for the changes.

Thanx Avanti, I'm working on another modification, my cousin bet me I can't get this hull to 60 mph...Christmas money for me.....I got it to 52 and not at full throttle....

obrien

what set up were you using to run 52?

RCprince
11-28-2007, 03:41 PM
I was running a ammo 2600, with a 4500 6s and an Oct x645

obrien

Avanti

RCprince, what is the fastest boat you have?

RCprince
11-28-2007, 10:47 PM
Well in our fleet we have 2 SV one out board, the inboard one did 47.7mph, the outboard with the BJ stock motor did 38mph the blackjack which did 52mph and the Jolly which did 64 mph...these speeds are just trial speeds, we are still learning about cg and proper prop selection. our next Build is a maritimo or an hpr 115 and a christo 03....

I'm rebuilding the stern of the Bj gonna try some tabs and see what happens...I have a need for speed. I'm also trying to figure out what runs better on cats a flat bottom or half vee bottoms like the real ones.

It's just a profisherman converted....i'm gonna buy another profisherman and try the velineon system in it.

Avanti

I would like a profisherman to mess with but I have to finish the projects at hand first.

That ep1 is awesome, the realism...the cons are the cheap gears and replacement parts..it needs stainless steel gears... i'd pay a 100.00 for some steel gears because then i'd place a neu motor on that puppy.

you could probably have a machine shop make you some. there has to be some way to beef them up.

RCprince

I've thought of it...I also wanna try 2 on a bj hull

Avanti
11-28-2007, 11:59 PM
you could fit 2 on the bj. run them out wide on the sponsons where they belong, that thing would fly I think.
