they are mainly for cars

Yup and thats about it. They can take a bit more of a beating from what Ive been told. less chance of puncture. No need in a boat.

they look cool? I had one that (about a month ago) puffed and it split the hard case wide open. YIKES!

I'd have to be forced to use them even in land vehicles...you can't see what's happening to the cells inside & arguably creates a different dangerous situation to the obvious impact scenario. Hate them!

It is harder for the batts to dissipate heat as well with the added insulation.

I've switched to them almost exclusively.
easy to find and they blast EXTREMELY hard.

Disadvantage is a little more bulk.
I'm the only driver punching these yet..

They're INSANE.

Thunder Power don't lie about "c" ratings, there was a QUITE noticable difference between these and my 50c packs.

These combined with 10mm plugs roasted 3 speedos that did fine before that upgrade.
They made an N-1 hit 45+ mph effortlessly..

These packs blast Super hard believe it..

Why would they roast a speedo? Your not pulling more amps because of the packs ability to deliver them. Your pulling the amps that your motor and prop combo desire.
What's the price tag?

That's what I said! Imagine the look on my face getting ready for SAWS and these show up unexpectedly! Not even my car buddies have these yet in fact, I spoke to a team driver who was pissed that I had 'em yet.

I guess they knew I'd break records with 'em.
