Hey Everyone,
Been building a few cats and using different types of epoxy. I like the marine grade epoxy from loctite, does get a bit expensive.
What does everyone else use or recommend?
Has anyone tried the 3M 5200 marine adhesive?....comes in the caulking style tube.
Thanks!

Scott, everyone has been useing the Z-poxy to coat all the wood on the SV's. Reading the lable it says also used with fiberglassing etc. It dont as brittle as regular epoxy. It has a long working time to. Its not the expensive like 16 bucks for 2 big bottles. It dont smell either.

I would NOT use the 3M 5200. I would also use the West System epoxy. It is very easy to use. Just one pump of the Resin and one pump of the Hardener.
5200 is heavy and a little to agressive for an rc app IMO. Not only that the cure time is just under a decade. Once it does...a 10 mega ton explosion won't remove it.

Ive had unbelievable results with EVERCOAT medium epoxy myself. Sold at professional auto body store supplier. Flows out nice and is sandable.
