I dont get it either. So, for normal viewing of 2d television, it is the same as a 1080p tv. Now, for 3d programming, you have to wear glasses. What's the difference. Right now, with ANY T.V., you can watch 3d movies with the dorky ass glasses, and get the 3d experience. What's the diff?

Perhaps a more realistic 3d? I havent checked one out, but watching a 3d movie at say an IMAX theater is much more impressive than an old home set with the twitty glasses.

It's hard enough to keep track of the remote much less a pair glasses!

Thanks, Steven for the heads up. I will try to be a good boy and no I am not diplomatic. I just speak my mind and if wee boys come crying to you about my behaviour and language, not one has sent me a pm in the last 2 years!! Democracy rules!!!

From what I hear the $200 glasses decode the refresh rate of the TV and flicker the lenses to bend your mind into perceiving the image as 3D

Actually a wee glass of whisky has the same affect.
