I'm going to guess "too big"

the 4074 2000kv motor is 40mm diameter
the ul-1 2030kv motor is 36mm diameter
-------------------------------------------------
4074 = 4mm thicker diameter

the 4074 motor is 74mm long
the ul-1 motor is 56mm long
-------------------------------------------------
4074 is 18mm longer

The UL-1 motor barely fits under the outboard cover, the leopard 4074 will not fit under there. :sorry:
If you run it without the cover, it will fit!

English to French translation

le moteur 4074 2000kv est 40mm de diamètre
l'ul-1 2030kv moteur est de 36mm de diamètre
-------------------------------------------------
4074 = 4 mm de diamètre plus épais

le moteur 4074 est 74mm de long
l'ul-1 du moteur est 56mm de long
-------------------------------------------------
4074 est de 18mm de plus

L'UL-1 moteur s'adapte Ã*!** peine sous le capot moteur hors-bord, le léopard 4074 ne rentre pas lÃ*!**-dessous.
Si on le lance sans le couvercle, il sera en forme!

Hihihihi thanks diegoboy for your translation!!!!!;)
when i receive the beast i make a test with it without cover! by the cons the 2030kv of aquacraft makes me think that there should be a little too powerful or am I wrong? anyway it does is that tests that say!

you could use the 3660 range of leopard motors they should fit and have a large range of kvs aswell.also have their own water jackets which fit a treat

I haven't been able to find a pic of those 3660 motor wires. If the motor wires come out the back of the can, it will NOT fit in this OB. If they come out the side like the 4074's, it should fit.

i put a ul-1 motor in the stiletto and it just barley fits under the fiberglass motor cover....

...because of the wires exiting the can at the back. You should have the room for the added 4mm can length if the wires exit the side as stated above.

I just got Leopard 4074 2150Kv for another boat and it doesn't fit under the cowl of the Stiletto.

You might be able to make it fit if you cut the cowl like Darin did, I'm not sure if the bolt pattern will work though, I haven't checked.

there was no debate about the 4074 fitting, because it won't. we're discussing the leopard 3660 series.

No problem. It DID start out about the 4074, but evolved into the 3660.

Hey Guys... I put one of these in my Stiletto this past weekend to go after the NAMBA 2-Lap record with.

Didn't get it on the water long enough to tune it, but it looked REALLY fast for the lap I was able to complete! Need to do some tuning to keep the boat on the water at these speeds.

Here's what it looks like in the boat... Had to cutup the canopy a bit, but it sure looks cool once it's in there....

I wouldn't recommend THIS hot of a motor for anything other than shorter runs, and only with some decent batteries. I had a 50C ThunderPower ProPower 5200mah pack, and a Hydra 240ESC...

Hey darin good luck, look forward to hearing and seeing a vid of how you get on.
Could you do me favour and measure to see what clearance is available as to whether the leopard 3660 range of motors would fit pls.
Just out of curiosity

What clearance (where??) are you looking for?? There is LOTs of room around the base of the motor to go larger in diameter. As you can see, anything longer than the stock motor, or a UL-1 motor, likely won't fit under the stock cowl. However, cowl covers are relatively inexpensive from ProBoat, so you can always get a second one and butcher it up, like I did.

Here is what the stock motor looks like all bolted up.

Then height of the motor,as the wires do come out of the sides of the leopard 3660.
Just to see if you could still get the cowl with cutting it

The UL-1 motor is 56mm long with motor wires out the rear of the can, folded over and still fits under the cover. The leopard 3660 is 60mm long. (only 4mm longer) I have more than 4mm in height of UL-1 motor wires folded over under my cover.

If the wires sticking out of the "front" of the motor are a clearance issue, you could always turn the motor around and run them backward and around the sides of the motor. I think that would work too.

I also made new mounting holes for the cover... I upped the size to 3.0mm screws, same as the motor screws, and moved the front cover screws over to the side. That way I can get the cover on and off without fear of stripping the screws. You can see the new mounting screws in the attached pic...
