Hey guys,

Picked up a few goodies for my 32" Vegas Hydro...will my Turnigy 2S 5000 20C hardcase lipos survive a 1515 1Y/180A Seaking combo?

Or should I be looking for other lipos with a higher C rating?

Run em'.... like anything it would be nice to have better lipos, but yours will be good for constant 100 amp load and 200 amp spikes.... go with it.... a little over a year ago 20c were very very good packs and its all we had...lol.

They will get hot - don't run them to the LVC. The 1515/1Y can easily pull 130-150 amps even with a moderate prop - depending on the setup. I've been running 30-35C packs for about two years in similar setups, and even they can get hot when they get a bit old. 20C packs are marginal for spec setups anymore, I datalog UL-1 motors at 85-95 amps continuous.

What prop are you going to run? I'm still running the X642 and the batts get quite warm w/35C cells in the Vegas.

I currently running a BJ26 1500KV motor with a 90A Seaking with a x642 and my 2 x 2S 5000mah 20C and the batteries were 75F...but I'm pretty sure that's because the BJ26 motor barely pulls 40A....if that. I'm sure that the Neu 1515 1Y will pull more....

Since winter is coming I'll just run the 5000mah 20C with the 1515 1Y and just prop moderately with a CF prop. I'll go with 40C lipos next year
