Take a look at this guy :

Described as a replacement for a 20 horsepower 100cc gas motor.

Also, a conceptually interesting "dual" UBEC :

FWIW I have one working CC BEC out of five, and the :censored: things have gone to straight input voltage on the output side occasionally and so far have smoked three Rx's of mine.

Here's a 5V / 6V selectable BEC I picked up from HobbyPartz for seven bucks. Will try soon

That motor is a monster! Glad I read about your BEC experience. I was about to pull the trigger on one but will do a little more reading on other people's results.

Personally the only ESCs I use with BEC are the AquaCraft ones. I use 5-cell NiMH cells or LiPos for power on all others. Even the aftermarket BECS have problems, a club member smoked a receiver with one.

Oh, I forgot, the ICE100 has been perfect for months using its BEC, which is good for up to 8S.

I use the BEC on the HK Sea Fire boat, works fine. Have not tried the Red Evo yet. If not, I use 2 - 18650 LiFePo4 cells
