hey guys

have you ran this one 6s and if so are you having any problems

i was running this in my hk apparition with stock motor and hk turnigy 180 amp with grimracer 40-53 prop and on 4s 2p 5000mah it's awesome runs hard 12 to 13 min run times all day no problems at all, now put 6s 2p 5000mah and it starts out hard and then dies of almost like it's in low volt cut off but the batts are fully charged and the volt cut off is on auto

i don't get this i think it might be amping out as in drawing more then i can threw the 180 amp or my battery dose not have the c rating to do the run

any help would be awesome

Remove the LV cut off and did you program the ESC for 6S...not familliar with the hull....12 minutes???

so i looked again and it has only
Programmable settings;
Reverse
Low Voltage (none/2.8v/3v/3.2v/3.4v)
Brake: (none/soft/hard)
Timing (0.00/3.75/7.50/11.25/15.00/18.75/22.50/26.25)

Constant Current: 180A
Burst Current: 360A
Resistance: .0007ohm
Battery: 2-6S Lipoly
BEC: 5.8v/ 3A
Motor Type: Sensorless Brushless
Size: 72 x 68 x 34mm
Weight: 165g

i guess i was wrong for auto lv cutoff
the for 6s i should be at 3.4 for lv cutoff and why dose it work on 4s 3s 2s with out changing anything but 6s dies out

and the hull is the apparition 800mm twin hull cat with a single drive and yes about 12 mins of ripping fun but it's not always wot so that might explain the 12 min run times

There have been some issues with this ESC on LVC ...program none....but be very cautiuos on your run times or use another LVC device.

cool

but i find it hard to believe it would run hard on 4s and on 6s rips but only for about 4 seconds in the water the it dies out odd never had anything like that , do you know what programing cards can be used on these ?

Are you using the bec circuitry?
I always use a stand alone power source...old school, but it works for me.

I have the same 180, but my settings are....

1-forward only/reverse
2-#of cells
3-low voltage cutoff
4-timing

There is no brake option on the turnigy/seaking 180. Better check those settings again.

i got it right of hk and i sure your 60 amp will be fine and now that you said that doug i think it is the bec because i had a problem like that with my car one time to much power would cause the bec to clip for signal and i would lose power to the motor

ill try that

OK, the big question here, is are you running the stock motor on 6s?!

We've had this problem on a 180A & 120A at our club.
The solution was to switch off the LVC cutouts. There's something wrong with the internal software in some of the ESCs. Use an external LVC if you need to.
Cheers.
Paul.

Bad idea. That motor is too small for your hull. Also, that is a hot motor for 4s. I will not work with 6s, and you may destroy more than just your motor. Get yourself a 9xl and run on 4s. It will be reliable and fast.
