Well the best advice I can give you is to just have fun with it. As for asking about tech information. The more info you give us with the better we can help you out.

Hey bud, not to discourage you or anything, but my mother bought my father one of those for Christmas last year and I'd hate to see you waste time and money trying to get it going when you can buy a much better hull here on this website for a very reasonable price. The ones on this website are made out of fiberglass and much lighter and easier to waterproof. We tried everything to waterproof that hull you have and it just leaks horribly because its made of plastic and screwed together.

Just trying to help...if you can get it going then you are a better man than me. We use ours as a "retrieval boat" now.

It now has SO much silicone covering every part of it and stuffed with floatation it works and if it didnt come back that would be ok too.

lol, well this is my first rc boat and i dont plan on spending over 450$. on the other hand i have a catamaran hull, plastic too, maybe you guys have seen it, its the miami vice boat or whatever. anyways, im planning on making that boat nitro.

as for the leaking issue, dont worry bout it. it will float. i will make it water proof

That link isnt workin for some reason. 12 is a good start. With That ESC you will have to use a seperate pack.

Or tell me if there are any better recievers i can get for around the same price. I need an FM reciever 27 Mhz
