Folks,
Some of you are going to need a flex coupler for your newest motor addition. The Leopard 56xx series. The motor has a 6mm shaft. You say you dont know where to get a 6mm flex coupler? Dont fret. Buy a .250 Octura with the right size for your flex dia. (1/4", 3/16") and shim it with a small piece .007 steel stock. Like off your feeler gauge set? Works perfectly. No slop and its steel so its not going to develop wobble over time. Of course you could buy a 8mm Octura and shim it with 1mm stock too.
The only reason I bring it up is some of you are in the process of setting up your new power house, I'm having to add some new holes for my motor mounts as the motor is big, the motor face plate has the screws on 30mm centers, not the normal 25mm most of us take for granted. I might have to talk with Peter!
So if you want to be prepared ahead of time and you have a 56mm motor coming buy the flex coupler and shim stock. Then tear up the water! I'm sure the builds being planned are going to continue pushing the sport boat speeds to even greater levels.
