Just took a peek at HobbyKings site and they have a new 4030 8T wind outrunner.

1400Kv, says good for 5-8S, holy carp!!! I already have the 880Kv & 1100Kv.

This is going to be hard to hold off on.... :zip-up:

What kind of temps are you getting using outrunners in a closed hull?Can you run for more than just a few minutes?I have and Align outrunner with a cooling jacket for a hull Im building.Ive always ran inrunners.

I've run the Scorpion 4025/1100 on 6S in my SprintCat 40/60 and it runs fine if I don't over-prop it. Ran for 4+ minutes in 60F weather and the motor was just 105F. I did have a 30mm fan blowing on it, no water cooled motor mount.

4030 1400Kv, 6s, 32" cat, m545 = WOW. Going to try x447 next!

sorry to raise old threads but, just upped my sprintcats 1100kv version of this motor to the 1400kv, ran the m447 for a couple of mins and cells were still only 4.08v with only warm temp and was wondering what props you guys have been running for sport on 6s? thinkin of trying my prather 240 .....

What size sprint cat? Single or twins?
