Removing the battery trays from the BJ BR is a good way to shed a little weight and lower the center of gravity. Securing the batteries after the trays are out with velcro is hit and miss because the bottom of the hull is not flat. A piece of wood can be epoxied in to make a flat mounting place for the batteries but I found an easier way.
I bought a pack of 3M mini hooks. Discard the sticky pieces, you wont need them.
Just epoxy them into the hull on either side of where you want the battery and use a few rubber bands to secure it. The battery WILL NOT come out no matter how hard you flip it.
