May I ask someone to check each cell voltage of 4S LiPo battery after charging please?
Thanks
Robert

Each cell should read 4.2 volts when fully charged - so that's 16.8 volts for the pack.

Weither it's a 2s or a 10s voltage should peek at 4.20v per cell, 4.18,4.19 is exceptable also.

Ok I just checked my 2 4S new LiPos and I have:
1=4.14
2=4.17
3=4.19
4=4.18
Is that good or my cells are way out of balance for me to swich to panic mode?

Do you balance when you charge. Don't panic!

Could you please tell me what voltage would be not acceptable or alarming when it comes to out of balance?
Thanks
Robert

Since I do not balance when discharging in my boats I only balance sometimes....
Is that ok?

Agreed, no need to panic. They can be brought back to where they need to be.

What kind of charger do you have ?
Is it capable of discharge balance also ?
If so, just cycle it a couple times and it should bring everything together.

#1 - Always balance when chargeing !!

I ALWAYS balance charge... i have mistakingly done a regular charge and my cell voltages are like 4.12 etc..... balance charging always keeps them at 4.20v.

Did the Voltage come up Different after a balance charge?

Not sure yet as my LiPos are charged and I need to use them and charge again. I will balance charge them this time and check voltage then....
Thanks
Robert

Your cell voltages are fine as listed. You are only talking several 100ths of a volt differences and measurment in-accuracies of meters, chargers etc can play a role in the reading differences.

I may be asking a stupid question, but don't all lipo chargers just automatically always balance charge? I use a hyperion DUO

Nope. Not all Lipo chargers have internal balancers. The Hyperion 1210i charger for example requires the LBA-10 external balancer to balance packs.

Gotcha. Thought it was standard practice to include balancing. But like I said, only thing I've ever used is my duo
