Sorry to hear about the loss. Hulls can be frustrating for sure. Looking to sell the left overs? I am looking for a canopy and servo with mount. Dont need any of the hardware, mtr mount, linkage, etc. Let me know.

I built a very strong hull, but it is only 1/16 scale at 22" long so too small for you.

HOR has a shovel nose in that range, but that is another chinese hull so will need reinforcing to meet your standards. Easier and better to do before the hull is joined.

Not sure what is out there, but you might need to look at a US manufactured hull to get a really strong one. (Or europe, they are nice also). I know I have seen some on this website under the build section. I think UBhauled or propper might have had a nice US built shovel nose in that range. Stuffed it into a bank at speed and it survived. Should easily survive a drop.

Good luck, Brian

I would recomend you get the new Insane sport hydro . Its made of fiberglass and is very strong. With the UL1 set up propperchopper went 53 mph with his boat. This boat will be the boat to beat.

Hello

what is in your opinion a strong hull? To survive a 100mph flight off? Bulletproof?

And cheap for an apple and an egg.

Chris, Mark is right on. The Insane Boats hydro is just the boat for a UL-1 conversion. Rock solid hull, great handling, and faasst ! I built mine to demonstrate exactly how the UL-1 gear transfers right over : motor, SC, servo & Tx/Rx. The UL-1 strut & rudder will work too, but the IB hardware is way solid and is worth getting while you're at it. 53.6 mph first run & full throttle in the turns.

Mark rigged his with a Neu 1515 1Y clone and what a missle !

Contacy Jeff at Insane Boats - you won't regret it

I was trying to get the new Insane hydro but I've not got a reply after multiple emails from them. I was up in El Monte this week and it woulda been the perfect time to get one if it was available, which I don't know if it is because they don't reply to emails other than their spam guard.

If you are looking for all-out durability, you can't go wrong with the pickle. Mine has seen some MAJOR abuse. By this I mean...... crashing into the dock, tools landing on the sponsons, tons of nasty blowovers....and even a few that I hit the bottom of the lake!

The Insane hydro will be ready for sell in maybe another week or so. Jeff has made a few changes to the mold to make it better for pulling boats out. Right now you can get on the waiting list. Just email Jeff and tell him you want one. This boat is not a too light of a lay up and will handle the abuses better than most other hulls.
