Hi,
With your low KV motor, you actually have 2 choices:

1) Run 4S1P with a large prop
2) Run 6S1P with a small prop

I like lower RPMs with a larger prop as I suspect parts will last longer.... but it will run slower.

My Syncron config is simliar to what you have above, except that I have a 240A ESC. I think you'll be fine with 4S on the 120, but maybe not with 6S...

Higher MAH will give you longer run....
C rating from 25 = ok power kick
C rating up to 40 or higher = wicked power kick
You can use any available to you. Higher the C is, better the discharge will be, its like better octane fuel for your car....
I have DF-29 and using 2 x 2S lipo batteries, total of 14.8V, some are 20-25C, some are 30-40C....
Cheers
Robert

Get 2 of these each. Open up your options to find the best set-up. That way you can run 4s, 5s or 6s till you find your happy place

Your ESC may go poof...............the 1600kv KBxl pulls amps like you cant imagine. I've personally confirmed this...............twice.............:crying:

I'd run 25c / 5000 mah minimum, you may get away with the 120a esc, but it'll be close.............prop it conservatively and it may work.

thanks for the info what sort of amps does the kb45xl pull

would you be so kind to help me with a few questions below as the more reading i'm doing the more confused i getting

1. does the battery amps need to be higher or lower then you esc is rated.

2. with this setup am i better to run higher volt or amps

i currently have 2 x 4s 35c 3000 mah and 2 x 4s 4000mah 15c batteries

alos would it be better to run in paralell which doubles your amps and run time or series which will double my volts as far as i understand

any help would be appricated
