Here are some pics I took during my twin BJ26 project

hacksaw blade worked great for this step - use plenty of tape

A long scraper blade works good for this along with a hair drier or heat gun

replaced the missing circles on the transom with laminating epoxy

dont laugh this is my first carbonfiber layup. I did 2 layers

I'm went with 2 Nemesis 9L's (2730kv) pushed by 2 CC 120's on 4s 5000mah 40c - 50c.

Yes sir sounds like my kinda rpm's! You need to reinforce as much of the hull inside as you can. As I just posted on someone elses these will crack easilly at the speeds you are gonna hit during a tumble.

2 layers carbon fiber up both sides and well down into the bow.

Ok cool. At twice their intended speed they need help! Can't wait to see this thing in action.

old radio antenna was used for chrome water pickups

I got to test it the other day.:thumbup1:
It runs good, but does not turn very well, I rolled it a couple times in the corner. I'm thinking a longer rudder to stabilize it thru the corner? probably just the driver...
I also see that I'm going to put ammo 2600kv motors in for more torque. I'd say it's 55 to 60mph now, and will be faster with the ammo motors.
I'm going to try to get some video somehow:rockon2:

Looking good bro! Mine is not a great turner either. Save yourself some money and buy the Turnigy motors instead of ammo. I originally bought Turnigy and then switched to the ammo of the exact same size and Kv with no speed difference. They were more expensive and were rated for more watts but yeilded no speed increase.

Yea I want to get a set of those too. I have new ammos on the shelf, I thought I would try these nemesis motors out. I'm not a big fan of 2 pole motors, low torque and high heat...

Just trying to help....My turnigy motors were 20 or 25 each and the ammo's were 50 each. They are high quality just didn't go any faster like I'd hoped.

Thanks man I'll take all the help I can get. Really though, I got 3 brand new ammo 3656
2600kv motors, and I just burned up the last of my solder gettin the 5.5's burned on to 2 them so I can install them. I'm looking forward to trying them out.

From a 50mm can to the 56 ive gained about 5or6 mph so far. On 4s you should see mid sixties with the Ammo's.

COOL !!!
I also detounged and balanced a set of 442's for it, I'll see how that does temp wise. I know those motors will turn a 645 for a few mins before it gets hot, so I got a set of 447's I'm going to reduce into 445's...

I'm going to get some video soon. Might end up doing a drag race against my buddy's stage three GFreak set up that GPS'd 61mph on a single drive last week. Hope i can find someone to record it. This is gonna be great...

Man does anybody have problems with CF interfering with the RX ? I did 2 layers in this boat and am having Radio Signal Delay Syndrome BullS#%*or RSDSBS... you hit the throttle and it takes about a second for it to respond. its hard to drive that way. It's a tactic 2.4 radio and it works fine in my other boats.:confused2:

if i remember correctly the tatic has no external Ariel.
sitting in a hull full of carbon fibre i would think is playing havoc with your signal.
try a diffrent radio if you have one,if not get it up as high in the hull as possible see if that helps
