I ve been out of the sport two years now becuase me and my dad have been to busy playing with real fast boats. We decided it was a damn shame to let our 50" apache sit just because it needed new batterys so its time to buy some. i just cant believe how much they've gone done in price and it makes me wonder about quality. Is the price thing just 2 years of mass production to make em cheaper?

mass production + offshore companies = cheap prices

Quality wise, the hobbyking packs have been very well reviewed but a significant number of people. As with anything, there are isolated cases where cells are bad, but hobby king is usually good about sending replacements.
