That is insane. I've tried flying a heli a few times, its not easy. I can't imagine the skill it takes to control that heli. Great video.

I think his dad put him on a sim when he was only 18months!
and started flying when he was 2 I think?
and he now has many sponsors and travels around flying at events and getting paid

I have watched a few of these vids now and I am sure I do not get it !
I can see that it takes an exceptional amount of talent and far more talent than i will ever possess to fly a Heli like that but I still do not get the manouveres or choreograhpy.
I would love to see some real precision flying like the pylon air racers do, close to the ground would be good too.

Amazing flying but it all looks a bit too uncontrolled and random to me. :confused2:

tis called 3d.

Some of the fly-ins ive been to they drag race trex 450's and 600's, sometimes crashing into each other ..

Flying helis is good practice for driving boats haha:laugh: thats what i tell my wife
I can fly some mild 3d with my trex 450, have been flying for a few years now and not even close to the level of the now 7 year old Justin Chi, a lot of sim time in my opinion really helps... for 3d you need bags of power and great blades. I was demoing my 450 for a mate and forgot I was running sport wooden blades, got a bit carried away and climbing full throttle inverted doing a priouette a blade failed and it folded up like a dead seagul and hit the ground from about 60 feet, about $60 in parts later and carbon blades its flying again,

Agree with you Simon, it is difficult to see what they are doing and to appreciate it but believe me, if you randomly move the sticks, it doesn't fly for long :flashfire:
I've been flying giant scale plane, and I also have a T-Rex 450, you can't imagine how watchful you have to be when flying a heli, you have to constantly keep your eyes on it, leave it for one second and it's dead!

Try and find an event in your area..
they are amazing to watch in person, video does no justice to the skill level these pilots have.. and they usualy do some sweet competitions later in the day after all the 3D flying :beerchug:
3D planes are different as skill levels go, but Helis are much harder to control in 3D
