hello all,

I am setting up my EKOS with 2 -120A esc's, 2- Feigao 10XL motors and will run 4S. My question is if a 4000mAh ( 40C ) lipo draw's 160A [ correct me if I am wrong but I am useing this equation C x mAh / 1000] will this set -up handle it? I am kinda new to lipos and tried to do some research before posting. When choosing a Lipo does C rating make a huge difference? I would like to use 4000- 5000 mAh 30-40C rated lipos but the noob in me is a little worried now and confused.

see what your highest watts your motor can handle.
4000x40c=160ampsx14.8=2365 watts.. your motor should not exceed this wattage
5000x40c=200ampsx14.8=2960 watts " " " " "
A higher c rating is always better due to the fact that the cell will handle higher wattage with less heat

I'm using 2 Feigao 10XL's with 120A esc's in my EKOS. They are 440 watts max with proper cooling if I am correct. Is there a mAh and C rating I should not exceed?

Your motors should not exceed the maximum discharge rate of your pack, so if your motor is pulling 440 watts, then you will be ok with your 4000 0r 5000mah cells
Remember c rating is how many amps your cell can discharge eg. a 5000mah pack with 40c rating means it can be discharged at at rate of 200 amps per cell, so if you have a 4 cell pack 14.8v that pack will produce. 14.8v x200 amps=2960 watts. the higher the voltage the higher the wattage
