The Clairville location is used for races and its free to get in if you tell them you are there to run with us.

If you don't have the IMPBA membership, there is a 10 dollar fee on race days that will cover you (paid to the club treasurer) then there is a nominal fee of (I think) 2 dollars a boat.

If you want , I can post a race schedule.

Next one is in 3 weeks if I remember correctly. I'll have to check to be sure.

Hey Guys thanks for the response can you run there anytime or only on races.
I don't have anything ready to try and race yet but i would come out to see what gones on.I ran my first rc boat there about 25 years ago little swamp buggy with an .051.They seem to keep the water levels lower now,not like when the public beach and the water skiing school was there. Thanks

Out of curiosity, are you in fast electric boats?

Just starting out scratched built jae 12 with a feigao 7s and a 30" balsa cat with a 9xl i need to finnish. I don't know when i get them running if either would fit any class to race.
Sorry if i hi-jacked thread .

We can make any boat fit any class......we won't turn anyone away from running their boat.

Your 30" cat can run in LSO (9xl = about the same KV range of the SV/ BJ and UL-1 motors that we run) I assume it would be on 4S ,,,correct?

There is another guy with a similar sized rigger that you can run against as well.

Plus, there is always the "Open" class where anything goes!

sounds good. Yes the cat is 4s.Just curious to what run time length do you need to race.

LSO runs for 4 minutes (Most laps wins!),,for the rigger, well most races are 6 laps and can be over in about 2-3 minutes. If you have 5000mah LiPos, you will be fine for LSO....Other races you can get away with 4000 packs.

To clear up the membership question

You do not have to be IMPBA member to run there but you need to be a MMM member

If you are not a regular MMM then they will charge you the $10 (for a one day membership) plus what ever $ per boat you will run

MMM has an insurance policy that covers members when they run at this site

And yes any boat that you could show up with would have a spot to race in

PS the next race was also going to be at Humber Bay but if the parking lot is still not paved we will be at Clairville

...Well, it is still under construction and the real one....
I was just there and to me it looks like will take more than 2-3 weeks for them to finish, lets see...
