Im going to turn down the stub so the entire length is .187. Put up a pic of your strut if ya could. May be interested.

Hope u own a lathe.....it will cost more to turn that down than buy the strut and even if you do turn it down then you can't slide the flex out the back any more........u will have to puLl the motor every time u grease the flex

I will gwt u a pic..its nice ans heavy duty

LOL, Yeah, I'm a CNC machinist, so it's no biggie. It's for a 1/8 scale proboat elam I'm building. I plan on installing oilers in the stuffing tube. I started a build thread, you should check her out.

now that i think about it, a 1/4" strut would work better. I may just bore mine.
