Only problem with that one is it doesn't work with ALL opto ESC's. I like that one the best actually because of the ability to set the cut off, but I had three ESC's it wouldn't with with out BEC. The problem with the FMA units is A) you need FMA taps B) you can't set the cut off.

Thats my reason for previous question. Neither is perfect and those are about the only two options. Can you see my reason for the frustration?

Correction I was refering to the Cellsheild. I don't like the Liposheild because you can't adjust the cut off.

Call dimension enginneering and ask for John.

So if you run a stand alone BEC you are ok????

The lipo shield works, its not perfect because it dont sense each cell but it is decent protection. You may have a prob with throtal throw? From what I understand if the batterys are boarderline and the voltage drops it may cut you out. I am a newbie so take what I say as fact but do you own reserch and testing.

You made a good point thought. I will be ginger with the power on take offs when testing.

I have, and above statements are what I have come up with. Nothing is perfect at this point. We will be waiting until we get ESC that have taps that will monitor each cells.

I think I have come to the conclusion that I will be taken EXTREMELY good care of my cells, not running them below 3.2 per cell and not charging over 4.150 per cell and have them very balanced. Then I will use my Castle ESCs as much as I can so I can make my own cut off point i.e for 7.4V it would be 6.4 for 11.1V it would be 9.6,
I think that is the point I am at right now.

I don't know about that... The new Castles are a nice improvment and the cost is not that bad. Think about the cost for the Cuda 180's compaired to the Hydra 240. Thats a huge differance and it should stay like that. But either way, they are no Hex. 120's thats for sure. :D

South Jersey, I alway go easy on the take off. I figure why strain everything. I take off easy even with NiMh cells. After take off all bets are off... hehehe

Yeah I really would rather be running the other stuff but some times ya just can have it all.
