I would like to know if the Turnigy 180 marine is a better esc than the etti150 or cc120 . I have had good results in the past using hydra 120s on my twin prop MM with 9xls and 447x 2 blades on 4&6s., never any failures. My new boat will be using 4 separate power systems (4 esc's, 4 540xl 9t or 8t , 2 447x left n 2 447x right 2 blades, 4 or 5 5000ma 40c 4s lipos, 4 struts....) 42'' Aeromarine Conquest hull.
Esc's or very expensive and i have only ever used CC esc ,but have had good and bad luck with them. I have read that etti 150 esc is better quality an less expensive than cc120's . I have spotted the Tunigy 180's and for the money sounds like this is the esc for me but dont want any performance issues. Appreciate some feed back on turnigy 180 amp marine !:beerchug:

There has been very good feedback on the V2 version of the 180. My only thought is the service....CC is hard to beat.

Let me know if you need any brazed cables for that set up. 3/16" to a 3/16" stub seems to be the popular choice now without teflon.

Thanks Jeff, ...I was using Hughey .150 n 3/16 stubs on my twin MM and worked well, only busted both cables when i tried to power chop threw some weeds , i had been having some fun roosting threw a patch throwing them in the air and later i was stalled in a bunch and throttled up and pop! 2 bent props n busted cables...lol...wont do that again ! I am going to try to keep my rotating mass down for eficiency and probably go with .150 cables and no liner.

I cant think of a better way to make a large cat hull fast like a s.a.w. racer , ifficiant, quick( incredably quick) , you can power it with less expensive lipos, for the cost of one CC HV 240 or etti HV 200 you can buy 4 0r 5 , 180 amp turnigy 180 amps....that is 720 amps continuis and 1440 quick bursts ! I have had bad luck in the past with HV setups, want to much money for lipos that CC requires for waranty so i am going to stick with what i know and that is its better to be over powered and efficient that over powered and over amped.......720 amps continuous !....lol......ya ! thats what i need !

Any one have any thoughts on motors ? Was checking out the scorpion 3026 1900 kv or the 1600, also 9t 540xls. I would prefer the scorpion cause i could save some money on water jackets. thanks ,randy
