View Full Version : Decal Graphics - NO COST

CornelP

Well guys, having received a number of requests for various graphics, I can actually help with the graphics only, as the vinyl stickers will be to impractical to send from here...
Of course I keep my principle of helping out, so there will be no charge. Just give me the target graphic and size, I'll do Corel vectoring, ready for the cutter or printer (for water decals).

Hi can you do a 1/8 bud?

CornelP
03-11-2010, 01:26 PM
A bit of digging and I got this. I need to knoe the size of these stickers and how you want to do them. The first picture shows how to do it for a printer (preferably ALPS, can print white on decals or a cutter/printer). The second is for a vinyl sticker (need to work another bit on it). For this one, you need to cut one black, one white and stick them one on top of the other, for the shading. If you know the sizes and how you want to do them, I only need an email address

Hi looking for the U1 Bud T5 year 2000
Thanks Old Guy

CornelP

As far as I could dig out, the difference to what I posted earlier is the shading, which is on blue, not black and it has another big "1" on the canopy (same for T3, T5 and T6). Still looking for the correct font for "Dave Villwock" ...

If I will provide you with Jpg file would you be able to create decalls for me for yellow background UL-1, DF-33, DF-29?

What I can do is just graphics, not cutting, as it is very impractical... I will be sending the files by email, so the model can be cut in any vinyl cutting shop or printer.
Robert, if you have a scan, I can make a file good enough for printing, but not do the print.

Cornel,

Thanks for offering your services.

Can you create a vinyl cutter based graphic file for the attached file?
If the resolution is not good enough, I can e-mail you the original .jpg file.
This will be going on my UL-72 based sport hydro.
I will pm you with my e-mail address and the dimensions.

Thanks again,
Brad

Andy,

It is Randy's (BBY) ABS version of your original UL-1 hull.
I am going to paint it red and use these decals to make it look like last year's UL-72 boat that won the Unlimited Lights Championship.

I found a sweet paint job I would like to try on my new Cat

CornelP
05-20-2010, 10:32 AM
I can definitely try... I've done some for 1:1 jobs, so it's just scaling down. If you know of any Oracal dealer in your area, I can recommend a good masking vinyl that can be cut like any other sticker, but it peels perfectly and is very thin.

Im having a hard time finding a good Miss Seattle, the Number U-37. Both from 2006. The U-37 is too small on website, and Im not sure what font it is.

Both 1/10th scale.

Cornel Sir,
Here are the are some dimensions for the boat I am hoping will turn out as well as the ones in the pictures I posted in my previous message.
The hull width is 10 1/2" across
The Miss Geico decal is 12 1/4" long and the hulls width at that point is 2 1/2" from the bottom edge of the sponson to the should of the deck.
The MG decal is 1 1/2" wide
The distance from the rear of the hatch lip to the end of the rudder bracket is
1 3/4" and the distance from the same lip to the end of the transom is 1 1/2"
I will post another picture and measurement of the canopy on the next post.
There is 5 picture limit.

Here is the last of the measurements I thought you would need. If you need more or other measurements just let me know

The canopy is 7" at the spot where the top of the ruler is. It tapers down a bit ,and gets wider as you look forward.

How do you make the decals? Are they printed, cut, ??

Some are printed like a complete wrap wold be a large square or rectangular shape.
Others are cut letters.
Then you have digital contour cut letters that are printed and then cut around them.

Hope this answered your question some.

Thanks Cornel for the shout out.

I just tried to open the files you sent to Boomer for whatever reason had some issues and the eps file didn't want to open. One thing to do in the future is to make sure no fonts are embedded and change them to curves/outlines to make things easier to open and nothing gets adjusted when opened.

I already had the bud select logos so I just used the jpeg for reference.

Not sure how they were saved but something to keep in mind.

CornelP
12-20-2010, 01:19 AM
You're welcome.
I did forget to convert to curves... I'll just try again, it could be ok this time.

No worries like I said I just remade it using the jpeg you made for reference.

I have a question about your graphics. Can you print white? or does white have to happen by default by a clear area over a white surface?

I have a question about your graphics. Can you print white? or does white have to happen by default by a clear area over a white surface?

First let me ask what are you trying to accomplish with the white printing?

Typically the only reason to print with a white would be if the decals were being printed on a clear surface. Like a window cling or clear vinyl.
So with that said rarely is there a need to print white.

White is the default color of vinyl we use to print decals & wraps & you can cut away (contour cut) any white background that you don't want so there is only the colors that were printed showing.

The attached photo is a door skin on a mini truck that was printed & contour cut so it has no background.

OK. I had no idea if you were printing on vinyl or what. That explains it! Thanks! I'm gonna need a graphic that goes on a black background that has white in it. I'm doing a 1/10th scale 1985 Coors Light U-100 hydro. Once I figure out the exact size I need it, I'll send you the artwork. Here's a jpg of it.

Thanks!

Sounds good keep me posted.

I do both printed decal & wraps as well as regular cut letters & decals in any & all colors.

As well as Banners, Full size vehicle decals & wraps & more.

I'm about to start on a 1/10 scale U-1 Miss Budweiser Build in the next month or so.
Hope you start a build thread on yours.

Cool! I drool over that equipment! I'm a graphic designer in my spare time. I brokered with a shop in Tampa that did all that until they went out of business. Just zeroed in on a new one a short distance from me that will do broker deals. It's a fun business but times are tough everywhere. Hope you are doing well! I will figure out the size for those Coors logos soon. What format do you prefer? I mostly use CorelDRAW. I can convert to any format you like.

What is the thinnest material you can print on so it doesn't take so many coats of clear to hide the edges? THANKS!!

monojeff
01-03-2011, 03:42 PM
The vinyl that is printed on is 2-3mil thick.
Typically it gets laminated but if your going to clear over it then this doesn't need to be done so it is as thin as possible for you.

EPS file is best or PDF just make sure it is in vector format.
If not then high resolution jpeg or pdf is fine & I can work with that as well.
I already have the coors logos if you need them let me know so you can size them the way you want.

sailr
01-03-2011, 06:29 PM
Thanks. I don't think I have the Coors Light logo in Vector. All I could find are bitmaps. Do you have the Coors Light logo like I posted here? If so, that's great. All I need to give you is the dimensions. I'll try to get to that later this week. I suspect the printing is a bit delicate if not laminated so care has to be taken until they are cleared?

monojeff
01-03-2011, 06:34 PM
Yes I have the same logo you posted.
All I would need are the dimensions.

Yes it is a lot easier to stretch it & or scratch it but it would typically be masked to protect this from happening until you got it on the desired surface.

PM me when your ready & we can discuss details.

I am working on repainting a FasTech for my daughter Fuchsia Pink. She is going to be outfitting it with Polly Pocket dolls and calling it the "Polly Rocket". I am in need of some graphics.
These are a couple things I grabbed off the wed. I'm not sure it they can be change to Polly Rocket? The other idea we talked about was a Polly Pocket on a Rocket.

Tom, took my 17 yr old son to the doctor today for his yearly physical. Turns out he needed some shots. On the way out, with a packed waiting room, I asked the nurse if she had any Polly Pocket stickers. I thought my son was going to KILL me. When we got outside I explained why I asked to him. I think he's finally starting to calm down, he actually laughed about it. Anyways all the doctor had were Hannah Montana and Justin Bieber stickers. Who the heck is this Justin person,:confused1: am I missing something only having 2 teenage sons?:noidea:

I have the files in corel draw, send me a PM with your email and I can send them over.
When I get home, I could try to simulate shiny silver, in photoshop, but for a decent effect you would need either to print on silver decal or use a printer that does silver...

Thanks Jeff I totally understand about being tied up in a job and not able to do any thing else. Not sure on the size, the boat is 30 inches long. I might need to buy a Newton Sheet #1 - Paint Scheme sorta expensive , so if you could just get close to the right size. I think to make sure all the colors match I will need all the graphics.

Hey Randy I will PM you tomorrow on this and we can discuss options on things in more detail without cluttering up the thread.
Appreciate it!

Hi there. I'm new here but I just absolutely LOVE those BadAss Beer ones. I am from Michigan and a big Kid Rock fan so I would like to know how I can get some of those. I would like to get both the full 'label' and the modified Eagle ones. Around 2-21/4 inches tall and 41/2 to 5 inches wide. Thanks

We may have to start a "BADASSracing" team... I'll send you my graphics for some Beer? LOL. Just kiddin, I can forward you my graphics but they would not be to your size if Cornel is too busy. A sign shop can resize them for you though. Where are you at in Michigan?

I'm in Sterling Heights which is north of Detroit. I'm not a beer drinker but I've been told that it's not that good. I have no problem sending you some if you want.

Ha, I live in Charlotte, NC but grew up in Livonia, MI so now you know my connection with this. I had family come down for Christmas with a couple of cases of the beer which started me on this path for my boat. BTW, I thought it was pretty good beer. If you PM me your e-mail I will be happy to send you the graphics that Cornel sent me. I was just kidding about you sending me the beer...

Cornel

If you could provide me with a PDF of the new PB Blackjack decal file I'd swing you a few bucks. That way, I don;t have to wait until August for the decals to come on sale.

Really what I would like is a fine outline of the words "BLACKJACK" as seen on the hull side so I can print onto stickey Velum paper for a paint stencil, after I cut out the letter with an exacto blade.

What do you think Cornel?

Thanks!

Cornel
I would like to do a graphic for my 35" DF Pirate.
"Miss Almond Joy" with the almond joy logo from the wrapper. Probably seems odd but we used to do these things with our airplanes and they turn out pretty cool.
Let me know if you can help, I have some graphics downloaded from the web and there is plenty of time as I am just getting project started.
Thanks in advance,
