The Barracuda 125 is a fantastic controller

I was runnning one in a 4s Mono for some time with a 110 amp setup and seeing spikes near 160 amps throughout the run, the controller would come in cool after every race. However it was fancooled (definately worth doing).

What were you planning on using it in ?

:thumbup1:I agree, I wish castle still made them great unit. They are the Hydras older brother.

This ALL depends on which barracuda 125 you have. In the last few months before the B125 was discontinued, it was using some new components that made it very stout. In fact the present Hydra 240 is a B125 with cooling. The last b125's lasted a long time for customers because the rating was underrated. I personally think if more companies did this we would have less issues.

Tony-if you're planning on making the Winter Warmups this weekend, bring it and I'll tell you which 125 you have. Both are very good...one is just better than the other.

I had that ESC until I made the mistake of trading it in for a hydra 120... the "Cuda" as it was called, was hands down one of the best ESCs I have ever owned...

I run 2 of them - both on 1515/1Ys and they are fantastic! Not even water or air cooled, although air-cooling is a good option. Both are the newer version with the bigger FETs.

Those were the days man... ESCs are not like to old days anymore.... at least in this case...
maybe with the Hydra ICE they are working on now...
