Well I was gonna sell this but going to keep now. I pretty much have everything except a proper motor, motor mount, esc, and battery. Was was going to use a 35AMP Turnigy watercooled. Anyone have ideas for a motor and mount?

I made my own out of carbon fiber. I just finished putting it in yesterday I will try to put some pictures of it up for you tomorrow.Oh and the 35a turnigy is what I am using along with a 3900 kv ammo and a 1500mah 3s battery and it runs pretty good.

That's funny, as I was reading your OP, I had the same CF image come to mind. In my minicat hydro, there is a CF strip that acts as the motor mount. I was picturing a couple of CF stringers with a cross brace for the motor... very cheap and custom. I reckon 1/8" ply might work as well since the lengths of segments would be very short.

Can you use a pistol tx for the 35's? Any ideas for a motor in the hull?

Yes you can definitely use a pistol style transmitter with this esc.The Ammo I am using is an inrunner here is a link http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLWY1&P=7 with this set up I am getting probably low 30 mph I am guessing... I can't fit the gps in this one but it looks fast for its size. Oh and I also had to add weight in the sponson opposite the battery which is in the sponson seems like alot of weight up front but it needs it or else it would definitely blow over.

Think I will run this one. Just will keep it at 2s. If anyone else has a suggestion let me know.

Well I got a couple of power plants for the boat. Ordered a mess of stuff from Hobby King including a 35amp Turnigy ESC which is on backorder, CF plate, 2 lipo packs to try in the boat, a new charger and I forget what else.
