I took about an hour this morning inserting one contact in my bad... I mean right eye. Now's the time to get it out and I can't get it. I have been at it for over an hour now. Does anyone have tips to help? Dry fingers, wet fingers? Slide it to one side and blink? Anything?? It's beginning to piss me off. :cursing:

Use your thumb and first finger on the outer edges of each side of the contact and gently squeeze towards the middle, it should basically fold in half betwen your fingers and out it comes, I go through the same routine every day..........Might do the laser eye surgery later this year.

You need to be carefull not to scratch your cornea if your putting your finger against your eyeball repeatedly. I wear contacts and they can be a pain at times. For my removal technique I use my forefinger and thumb and sort of "pinch them" off when they need to come out. But I always use one finger first to loosen (break the seal) off the eye then bring in the thumb and pinch it away. Been that way for more then 20 years. Hope this helps.

This darn thing is sliding all over my eyeball, but I can't get my big a$$ fingers to pinch it. I wanna get tweezers. :crying:

Once you get the hang of it, you won't even have to think about it.
When it really gets hard is when you've slept in them and they're stuck to your eyeball from being dry!!

Its cool also when you rub your eyes and actually push the contact behind the eye,,,,and it takes about 1/2 an hour for it to work its way back to the front,,,,freaky....

yeah, I hate that when it rolls up and goes up on top! man that is work to get it out of there.

Wash hands, then use tip of index finger to slide contact towards outside of eye. Leave the finger on the contact. (for me, this breaks the seal of it forming to the cornea (colored part of the eye?) and puts about 1/2 of it over the white part.)

Then my thumb comes in from the side and pinches the loose contact between them.

I remember when I first had them. took me about an hour to get the damn things in. Now it is easy.

Every now and then I have weird dreams of inserting contacts the size of quarters in my eyes. Still trying to figure out what that means? :confused1:

Strange... Are your eyes that much bigger too or just the contacts?

I wear rigid gas permeable contacts. What I do is pull the outside corner of my eyelid and blink. My contact comes right out. Bad thing is sometimes it pops out when I don't want it too.
