Would this system drop into the hull of the Rio without much issue or modifications? I'm looking for something that will push the speed as fast as the hull can safely handle. I'm open to suggestions of other systems or separate components. I would like to keep the running hardware that came with the Rio. I'm open to changing most anything else. That package is a bit pricey, but I'd be willing to spend the money if it would be the best package for my boat.

Another concern is what LiPo I should be running, I'd really like something that would fit in the stock location.

That motor and ESC is way to much for a Rio EP

Your putting a very pricey system into a ABS plastic hull. Your going to need to change the stuffing tube, change the drive cable get a different motor mount, different props and buy a collet. You could get a adaptor coupler for the motor to drive cable but you should really upgrade the whole thing. I think you can find a cheaper setup on www.hobbycity.com, just my opionon. Of course I'm new myself to boating

Yea, after doing some reading I think that would be too expensive and too powerful for the Rio.

Thinking of running this setup now.

You can probably get by with this esc and its a bit cheeper

or you can step up to the 120. either way you can reuse in another boat.

For this setup i dont think you need the High Voltage speedo, so save the cash.

I just received my 120 and the usb programmer easier than heck to do.
