I have fitted the ss hardware to my bj. Its not quite finished yet but you get the idea. iI have used the ss strut, rudder, pushrod arm, flexishaft and propshaft. Havnt had chance to test it out as its been freezing in the uk so hopefuly in a couple of months i will get to try it.

Remove battery trays to lower cog, you can use thin plexi glass or ply to make new trays
and keep them low.

Fits straight on, the only mods are drilling the new holes and also for some reason the drive dog is smaller on the ss but I just used the origional, also you will need to move the servo further towards the back if the boat as the pushrod is to short but it's all simple enough.

Can you confirm who you purchase the "ss hardware" from ?

Thanks

As I live in the UK I got the pushrod arm, strut and rudder from podium rc and the flexidrve and prop shaft from the states but can't remember which website I ordered them from.

I have just rubbed down the filler and painted it with some general hobby paint, will post some pics later

Have you run this yet? Looks like this is way cheaper than any of the aftermarket setups, the parts (rudder, prop strut, and flex shaft) come out to $48 on the proboat site, plus shipping.....

I could even make up a longer rudder mounting bracket very easily, to convert it to an inline setup which is what I am leaning toward....
