I have had more fun so far with this boat than any of my previous boats. I cant get this thing to flip, I havent even been able to test the "self righting" ability.

I wonder what speeds that little guy gets?

Chuck E Cheese

I wish my gps could fit in here. It is a garman widescreen thats like as big as the hatch lol. Maybe if i get one of those watch GPS for running i can fit it in, or run it beside one of my bigger boats.

you can actually tape it inside the bubble on the hatch. i did it once before and got about 31mph

Does MINI mean 20 inches or less?

I think it is based on the users perception.

hey guys is this boat any different from the one MiniCatRacing sells? I read all the specs but they look identical except for the single colors that MCR provides.

So i went to the lake today after i spend about an hour and a half S/B the prop (only my second time) and was going to shoot some vids. Put her in the water she sped away, it was running great! But as soon as i get the camera out i get her on plane and it just stops. Uh oh, maybe i didnt screw the prop nut on well enough. Pissed i got the boat back and low and behold the flex shaft broke, so i lost all the stuff including my new prop nut :( Great. Does anyone know what prop to use, i didnt even look. I think i had .098 flex but what prop shaft do i need?

will this work for the flex

I picked up the parts to fix it at the LHS. I got a x432 prop to start with.

Just got one of these little boats, man its small. I'm planning to go over everything and re grease the shaft. I wish I got the 2.4g control for the extra bucks. Anyway I'll take some pictures of the inside etc soon.

Well I promised pictures, will do soon, I wanted to boat I just couldnt wait. I payed 145.00 shipped to my door and I'm surprised for what all I received. I posted on the Velocity thread last year questioning the difference of the ebay boats and thiers. Well after seeing what I got there isn't much of a difference in my eyes. I also got tools (all size allen keys), vinyln tape, spare dean connector with shrink tubing, Velcro tape, and a wood stand. I also was conserned about the esc since I was told it wouldn't work which made no since? But it works perfectly. Also the antenna looks very good and sealed with plastic tube that you can run fm antenna through (I removed since I'm running 2.4g). I removed the shaft and re grease and double checked all bolts just to make sure everything was tight (everything was pretty much good to go out of the box). The only disappointment is there is no collect for the flex shaft, it came with a two sided set screw setup. I would like to purchase one down the road. The biggest pain in the butt is tapeing the small plastic cover over the hull to keep water out., wish there was another easier way.

Comming from a Brushless SV27 I wanted something cheaper on batterys since I have a ton of 3s 2200mah 25c from all my planes. This is a prefect size boat if the SV27 is to big for your local ponds. I haven't ajusted the thrust angle or the turn fins (which they look newer and up dated compaired to the pictures listed) but I will start to adjust just to see the differences. I think its faster than my buddys nitro sv27 but get tossed around with the bigger wakes. I'm thinking 30mph not 100 percent though. But for the money I think it a great deal, hope this helps anybody that was interested in one since I know I was.

Oh and if anyone is wondering about the self righting ablity. Yes if the battery is fair to the left, if the battery is more in the center its has a hard time righting itself when flipped. But you can still have a up side down boat which can suck.
