Hi all,
been poking around looking at all the df setups but i have only come across a couple of cyberstorm builds on 4s2p..i have not quite finished my 39 inch boat but i want to start another... Anyway..i want mid 50's on 6s maybe this for cheaper setup:
Df cyberstorm hull 32 inches
feigao 580l 9l 1426kv
turnigy monster 200hv
zippy 6s2p 5000 40c
x645 or x646

expensive setup for upper 50's if the hull can do it?
Neu 1521 1y 1577kv
hydra 240hv or schulze 40.160

maybe there is a better way? Thoughts or recommendations would be cool

Which ever you choose, make sure you run a .187 flex as mine decided to make a big mess the other day. Thought the .150 would handle it being a short shaft, but nope:doh:

I run Neu 1515 1.5y, hi model 200amp, turnigy 3s 5000 40c in series for 6s.
And havnt bought a decent prop yet, just been playing around with what i got here and on a prather 220 not the ideal prop because of its pitch , it runs nearly 50mph for solid 5 mins with good temps.
And with a m545 ive borrowed of a mate, it would be running close to 60mph with shorter run time.
Nothing dialed in yet, still got to get a good prop for it.

I think that even with the cheaper setup you should be able to break 60 mph.

look at this thread. http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/showthread.php?t=11410The only difference is the hull, shallower Vee than the Storm. I have a storm, running Neu 1515, 5S and Etti 150A. Have not gps'd my speeds yet. But definitely running anywhere from low to mid 40's. It also depends on the props you use.

+1 on 3/16" cable. I finally switched to this after breaking three 0.15" flex cables:doh: and stayed worry-free for months so far.

My Cyberstorm setup FYI.
Hobbywing Seaking 180A ESC
Medusa 3680-1600KV BL motor
Turnigy 6S 30C 5000mAh Lipo, may double it to 10Ah but runs a bit wet.
Props that works well:
Prather S220
X440-3 blade
X442
X637-3 blade (93kmh with this one)
X445 (best Jet takeoff starting)
