Sorry for the lame question but...

Yesterday I was running some boats with a neighbor. Hes wanting to get into the hobby but being a newb, he says he wants a boat thats inexpensive (more to make sure hes going to stick w/ the hobby) but has something that he could possibly upgrade at a later date.

Anyhoo, I let him run my AQ Hammer EP. Ive been using it a a rescue rig for months and havent really "run" it for quite some time. Its amazing I used to think it was fast. While running it he was asking me about batteries and posed a question that I said.. hmmmm, theres one for my OSE members. As I said, Ive got the AQEP hammer, however, it is running w/ the brushed proboat esc.

Can I run a lipo in that boat? I know it would not have the LVC, but can you put a lipo to any esc provided voltage is within the ESC's limits?

Sorry if this is a lame question, Im just still tryin to figure out the do's and donts w/ lipos

Yes you can. As long as you watch the run times or get a LVC unit for the ESC.
