Still looking to buy a mini hydro. If anyone has one of the Bull Nose type from Skunkworks let me know or something else. The one from Skunkworks I had the hatch was badly warped. I just got a hull from HOTR and it is too small for my 2S 3600 battery and my motor mount and Turnigy 3600kv motor.

I can strip off the hardware - the custom hatch just needs a coat of Epoxy (I could add if you want) and paint; it is opened up underneath to make room for motor. The hull is perfect, with CF motor mount and reinforced turn fin mount.

I can include any of the hardware you might need for this.

Bare hull .... probably worth at least $40 + shipping.

EDIT: we kissed and made up - not for sale, at least for now.

That's a Micro Hydro from Mini Cat Racing. How'd you lose your hatch Jesse? Interesting adaptation of a brushless outrunner motor!

it didn't come with one... actually it had a stupid tupperware lid... she is one quick cookie, just need to spend time with her to get the dials figured out.

Jesse, what's the KV of that motor you were able to sneak in there?

=> Edited for my stupidity <=

I just checked my eBay history and this is all I could dig - the item is no longer on there.

RC Model 3850 RPM/V KV Outrunner Brushless Motor

This was on recommendation from the Dr Jet MTH thread. It was a tad much... wanted to fly rather than swim. I think I'll be ordering a Tenshock when the icefishermen pack up their tents.

We are the North American distributor for Tenshock. Let us know what you need.

Exactly, Jim! I think you had directed me to a hopped up motor for this guy? what is the ideal KV for this?

The 3800KV is the best motor for the Micro Hydro. The 4200 is too much.

Well, 2s-3600 is a big battery for a mini boat. On the attached picture are two boats that I have. The hydro is the delta force and the 2s-2200 just fits. Might be more room for a battery down the port side of the motor mount and move the ESC infront of the motor.

The cat would probably fit a 2s-3600 battery, not sure about the weight or the motor you would put in it.

Something in the 1/16 hydro range might be a bit better size. The hydro that you have is 16" correct? Not sure what boat in that size your battery will fit into.

Are you sure about not wanting a mono? 24" and turns well. And cheap - white hull for $30 delivered CONUS. this would fit your battery well. I run 3s-3600 in one with a Turnigy 3650/2300kv motor. Not a race boat, but would be a fun sport boat to run.

I like the Delta Force. Where can I find em? Anyone sell just the cat hull? Not into mono's
