The twin Jolly cat is a bit too expensive, the EKOS' drive system (4mm) too fragile. I need a hull with twin drive 3/16'' hardware already installed, just ready for my electrics and decals. The lazy man's option, I know, but it would save me frustration and time.

How about this M1 Supercat:

Thanks, Dagger, but still a bit expensive and I can't get to grips with the winged look. I know it is an exceptional handling quality hull... I need to factor in shipping to South Africa as well.

You don't need to have the wing attached - in fact it has never been mounted to the hull - it was just balanced on top of the post for these pictures. If you need pictures without the wing, I could provide them.

I would imagine I could ship it to SA for about $525

Thanx Dagger, but still way too expensive. There MUST be a 30-34" catamaran option out there with 3/16 twin drive hardware installed for twin 540 size motors. That is not an exceptional request, or is it? Max price : $300 shipped to South Africa...

If not yet available somewhere, would someone here like to offer me their services in acquiring the hull and parts and building me the boat and shipping it off to SA for max $400? I have all the electrics (2x 540 9L, 2x 3S Lipos, 2x 120A ESC's, Rx, servo, counter-rotating X442's, etc...).

I'm still looking for a ARTR cat to put my own electrics in, like the Jolly Twin. Any suggestions please.......

lomdel....take all your gear and put it in a mean machine put the new cowl on it and you will have a 29" monster.....there is a youtube vide of one that had two 8xl's in it and it did over 75mph

would be a cheap answer to what you looking for and with the new cowl it looks killer

what stinger drives do you have?

Nick

I have the HOTR 4mm stingers with .130 flex shafts. But what I need is a cat with all .187 hardware, rudder, mounts installed, just ready for the electronics. I don't have the know-how and time to build...

I am on holiday and will post pic when I get back home, but I actually wanna sell that eventually and try to buy a hull with hardware, rudder and mounts ALREADY installed! I want speeds in excess of 50mph. I don't have time anymore to build, but want to keep running FE...

WHat are you looking to power it with? I have ran my EKOS on 5S above 60mph and the 4mm flex cables held up fine. I think if you have some skills, you can drill out the stuffing tubes and struts and put 3/16" in or piano wire.

Nitro, what mods did you do to change the motor mounts to fit 540's? I have 2x 540 9Ls and a lot of 3S packs and 2x new Turnigy 120A ESCs. Did you keep the original drive hardware?

I had to cut the old mounts out an glass in new ones. I used these ( http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=ose-drmount ). All the drive (except for the drive dogs) are factory original.
