I have about 15 100 ice controls being put in boats around the world. I hope some of them will write about their experience here.

I noticed the discount on a Pistix adapter for the ICE 100. Good thing you are doing for the hobby Steven, as always. I was digging some more on the ICE 160 looks like its going to be a HV controller good to 50 volts. I only hope the feedback comes in positive. Time will tell!

I am actual thinking about getting a pair of these 160's for my HPR. I like the thought of the big heat sinks. Those heatsinks have alot of area for cooling....Was thinking about mounting them directly to an aluminum plate. Wish they could handle getting wet.

The 160 is actually the HV series. The 200 is in the LV lineup but I like the fact that it can handle 8s. Cannot wait till they are released.

I use the 100 and they are VERY nice units. The thing that I like the most is its logging capabilities. Its also nice to use 6s with the internal BEC without a glitch. Havn't tried 8s or have no reason to so I cant somment on that. Hopefully they will release a Hydra version of this in the future.

Are the guys that are using them in boats just using the heat sinks to cool them or are they using some sort of water cooling?

Eagerly waiting for a Hydra version of the HV ICE 160, for I'm planning my 1.4m DeepVee project.

Also, is there an alternative choice beside the Neu 2230 for that scale of electric Mono? economic concern of course.

I am interested in using one of the ICE HV 160's in a 1/8 Scale powered by a Scorpion outrunner 4035-800 on 10S.

One thing to note about the ICE HV contolers there is a little note at the bottom of the spec page. **Ratings are determined with a 5mph airflow on the ESC.

Here is a link to the HV specific controllers

Well if the ice esc are as good as people say then all the old hydra series would be left on the shelf!! I personally love the 240LV hydra the best 4s esc I have ever abused !! Hate the 120's and the 240hv grenade's. Can not see them releasing a Ice Hydra till normal Hydra stocks are depleted.

The ICE controllers are awesome. I will be trying out a 200 version on my Rico. I loved the 100. Very nice peice indeed. Lots of features and fully adjustable. Best part yeat is they can run up to 8s on the BEC. I have used and abused mine until it got submerged.
