Futaba R133F Receiver.

I want to buy another R133F receiver for my Futaba 3PDF radio so I can run several boats from the same transmitter, but Tower Hobbies say this is now obsolete.
They have the R153F in stock, so can anyone tell me if this can be used as a substitute.
I have emailed Futaba but so far no reply.

Have the same radio and had the same problem and asked Tower the same question... They said the 2 are interchangable only thing is you need the short crystal. I did make the purchase but havent finished to project yet.

Yes, the R153F can be used in place of the R133F. I have both receivers that I use with my Futaba 3PM-FS transmitter. I've never had the crystal out of the R133F so I can't be sure but I'm of the impression they use the same type of crystal.

I wanted to be sure before I ordered the receiver from Tower.
Still no response from Futaba BTW.
